I asked what their rates where, was told they couldn't give a quote till vehicle was seen. Took the vehicle down for the appointment to get said quote, waited till noon the following day and called to see. They were working on it. I went by after work to see and found it done so i got stuck with a bill. Drilled out 3 bolts and replaced 7 foot of pipe for $450. That to me is ridiculous. I also took in my old pipe so they could use as reference to finally get home an hour away and my pipe that i was going to be keeping for scrap was missing from my car.

You are correct about not being able to give a quote since this was not the normal exhaust job. You brought the car in with broken manifold bolts that someone had tried to drill out and couldn’t get it done so you brought it to us. It took almost 3 hours just to get the broken bolts out. You asked us to use the hangers on your pipe you brought in, never mentioning you wanted to keep that pipe. The only way to use your hangers that were welded to the pipe was to cut the pipe. You are are incorrect about is what you actually paid. You paid 336 and change INCLUDING tax which is a far cry from 450.

I have never heard of a mechanic doing this, but they first assisted me by picking up my vehicle while I was at work! Then, instead of going in to replace costly parts on the issue, they did further research in finding there was only a minor part necessary. Their proactive measures saved me hundreds of dollars! They communicated with me throughout the day and when they were finished; they delivered my vehicle back to me at my job without additional fees!!! They were knowledgeable, honest, and willing to go the extra mile for my continued loyalty. Their service is by far one of the best experiences I’ve had from a place of business. We were very satisfied with the service at Griffin Muffler. We needed tires and an oil change. We were hearing a sound in the rear brakes, and asked them to check it out. We just had them replaced at a dealership about eight weeks prior. Nanette contacted the dealership and let them know about the damage to to rear brakes and the dealership agreed to pay them for the work. Nanette went the extra mile to help make the repairs right. My car now rides like a dream! We are new to the area and will definitely be using them for our repair needs as long as we are here. Their office receptionist and staff are so polite and friendly. We commend them on a job well done. Your hard work is evident. Thank you!
